Agile Games Night - Birmingham

Details

Following on from a successful Agile games night earlier this year in Nottingham, I'm pleased to share we are hosting another in the heart of Birmingham.

The evening will be supported by agile experts Sebastien Bonicel, Sergio Seelochan and Nigel Steane for this in person meet up, places are limited so please join up fast!

Introducing the team

Sebastien Bonicel
Sebastien is the regional delivery lead for the Nottingham region at BJSS. With over 10 years of experience as an agile coach, he has extensive expertise of different leadership approaches in the context of individual, team and corporate management levels. He has worked as a scrum master, delivery manager, is an SAFe SPC and has extensive experience of various agile frameworks such as Nexus, SAFe and LeSS. Sebastien believes that the best way to evolve in agile ways of working is to just get on with it and fail fast, learn and adapt.
On the night, I intend to use the game Battleships to reflect on the agile principle of feedback loops.

Sergio Seelochan
Hello, I’m Sergio and I started working in the software industry in the late 1990’s. My first Scrum project was in 2008 and I gained a CSM with Kanban in 2009. Since then I have worked at all sorts of organisations, banks, government ministries, fintech, start-up and many more. As certified leadership coach I help companies find the inherent value in agile ways of working so they can succeed.
Ever wanted to explore the world of flow? What to know more about how limiting working in progress really works? How much of a system I should really model? Welcome to the world of Kanban. Join me to understand more and take away some practical advice and tips you can start using now.

Nigel Steane
I'm a passionate Agile Coach with a knack for transforming digital projects. With over 12 years in the game, I've helped everyone from government projects at DfE and DoT to global corporations like ASOS and BP deliver value through agility. I love coaching teams to deliver complex programs efficiently. I've got a bunch of certifications under my belt and a track record of saving millions through smart delivery. When I'm not knee-deep in work, you'll find me leading the Heart of England Agile community and sharing my insights at international conferences. I also love old cars, vinyl records, guitars and my tenacious terrier 'Sid'.

The evening will be supported by myself and Mitesh Dhanak, Agile Delivery Managers based in the BJSS Birmingham office.

Look forward to seeing you there!
