WHERE: Anyone familiar with the Marine Room dive site knows that it’s named for the French Restaurant that we haul our gear past each time we dive there. But how many of us have actually eaten there? Well, now’s your chance! And no, I'm not referring to chicken wings from a cooler while you're propped up against the restaurant's wall in between dives.
WHAT: All you can eat Breakfast Buffet!
Marine Room is having one of their famous “High Tide Breakfasts” and Power Scuba will be there. I’ve reserved a table for twenty under the name of "Power Scuba". If we fill up early, I will call ahead and try to increase the number of spots, so please sign up now if you know you’re going.
THE SHOW: Since Marine Room is situated right on the beach, the ocean comes smack up to the building during the "King Tide" season. If it's stormy, you can expect waves to crash against the windows. If it's calm, you can expect a beautiful scene, possibly with seals, sea lions....heck even Scuba divers! If you've never been inside the restaurant, this is the time to go!

WHEN: Our table reservation is at 7:30 in the morning. Sorry about that, but that's when it's High Tide. You can sleep in the day before :)
ATTIRE: When I inquired about their dress code, the Maître D' didn't actually say "Just don't dress like a slob" but when I asked that question, he made noises of agreement. They prefer business casual at nights but at breakfast, they relax the rules a little.
PARKING: Their Parking lot is for Valet Parking only. Please park on the street if you are not interested in valet parking. One can usually find a spot not far from the restaurant.
But what about DIVING? Feel free to coordinate with a buddy and go diving after breakfast if conditions allow. Any diving that takes place before, during, or afterwards will not be an official Power Scuba event. Buddy pairs are welcome to dive during breakfast and wave at us while we eat. If you do, please take pictures!
This will be a chance to dine at a well-known SCUBA diving landmark and enjoy fabulous food and be treated to a good show by Mother Nature.
THE FOOD:
The buffet is $38 per person, which is reasonable compared to dinner there. One could easily spend $200 for dinner for two. I hear it’s fantastic, but you could buy new fins at that price and still have money left over for a boat dive. Breakfast is a lot more affordable, comparatively speaking.
The food is.... amazing.

SHOW UP HUNGRY.
Hope to see you there!
