Ladies and gentlemen,

Come celebrate Women's Dive Day 2026 with POWER SCUBA! Let's dive together at beautiful La Jolla Shores.

Please make sure to sign our liability releases online once per calendar year. It's quick and easy, just follow this link: (http://waiver.powerscuba.org)

**Please send a Meetup message to the event organizer if your name of the waiver does not match you Meetup name.**

Who: OW-AOW Divers/ Power SCUBA members.

What: Bring your full dive setup, including weights and tanks. If you need to rent gear, check the Shops and Instructors list in the Discussions/Message Board section. A tarp or small portable work table can make gearing up and breaking down easier.

Where: Meet us in the parking lot near the lifeguard tower. If you have two tanks, bring them along. Arrive early to mingle with fellow club members, and be sure to check in with the organizer when you get there.

When: Check the start time listed in the event header. Please plan to arrive on time, and update your RSVP to “no” if you’re not able to attend.

Your hosts are volunteers and are there to dive as participants. If you’re visiting and need a guide or training, please connect with a professional dive operation—several are listed locally. Don’t plan on buddying with the host, but you can almost always find a buddy at the event.
Make sure you’re properly weighted. Always complete a thorough pre‑dive buddy check before entering the water.
You are responsible for your own safety on every dive—not the host, not the lifeguards, not your more experienced buddy, and not anyone else. Ultimately, it’s on you.

It's strictly voluntary but is very much appreciated and needed.
Disclaimer and Clarification
Anyone with a medical condition possibly counter indicative to diving must have a doctor's signature on a diving waiver form and submit a signed form to Bill Powers (or an organizer) before they may attend any Power Scuba event. YOU MAY NOT ATTEND AN EVENT WITH UNDISCLOSED MEDICAL CONDITION. Doing so is grounds for expulsion from the group.
Attending any scuba event Power Scuba facilitates constitutes attendee's affirmation they are medically fit to dive, have read the Terms and Conditions, and have submitted a signed Liability Release to an organizer... and that your buddy (if any) has done the same.
Important Note: It is not the organizer's role to lead your dive. He/she merely facilitates you getting to the pre-dive meeting location. The Organizer will not assign you a buddy nor will he/she be leading the dive as a "group dive". Visibility and liability do not allow for that. When you enter the water, you are on your own. You must plan and execute your dive with your dive buddy only. Once members arrive at the meeting spot, the Organizer becomes simply another diver.
Your participation constitutes your affirmation you agree to these above rules and disclaimers.
