Santa Cruz Women's Social Group for the 50+

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The trial period for non-paying members recently ended. If you had not paid your $20 dues, the meetup platform automatically removed your membership. If you would like to be a part of the group, please "rejoin" and pay your dues.

New members have 30 days to try out before membership fees are due.

This is a group for women who are 50+ and live in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding areas. Any member can step up to organize events or share an interest with the group. This is YOUR group. As your organizers, we are open to all options. Hiking, lunches, potlucks, book club, game nights, happy hours, etc.

Our Meetup group is just over a year old. The success is due to small, curated events hosted by volunteers. (We have just hit 80 events and counting!)

We are a "shared accountability" group. This means you can "pay to play" $20 a year or host an event a quarter without a fee. This keeps our volunteers from burning out.

Pay membership fees here via Venmo under the Santa Cruz Women's 50+ Social Group or via the Meetup membership dues portal, which takes credit cards.

We have consistently received 5 stars for our events and love this fabulous community we are building.

Rules on RSVPS:

While we love to have you attend as many events as you would like, please DO NOT rsvp yes unless you're absolutely sure you're able to attend on the day of. Most of our events are small and we usually end up with a waitlist. We're not able to move wait listers to the yes RSVPs the day before the event.

No-shows and last minute rsvp changes:

Change on your rsvp 3 days before the event (72 hours or less) will be considered no show.

If you have no-shows on your record, you may be automatically placed on the waitlist for the event you want to attend. This is a courtesy to others who would like to attend.

Liabilities acknowledgement: By participating in this meet-up event, you agree that you are doing so at your own risk and be responsible for any injuries, damages or loss that may occur or in association with this event. You will also agree to release all the organizers of the SCWSG, her event hosts and members of the group from any claims or lawsuits that may arise as a result of your participation in the event.
