Annie's Canyon Trail from Solana Hills Drive to Fletcher Cove Beach

Join us for a morning hike to Annie's Canyon trail from Solana Hills Drive to Fletcher Cove Beach out and back. The weather looks like a summer day is in store. We will start walking along the side of the freeway to access the canyon. This access point is steep up and downs. The canyon is short but worth the work to get to it. We will walk along the picturesque San Elijo lagoon, then take the beach to Fletcher Cove Beach. Be prepared for walking on soft beach sand. The highlight is the ladder climb to hike a narrow part of Annie's Canyon; however, there is a choice of an alternate route. We head back along the side of the freeway to our cars. The moderate part of the hike is coming back up the hill to the trail head.

Be sure to bring plenty of water, eye and skin protection from the sun and wear sturdy shoes.
