Join us for a fun-filled Beach Day at La Jolla Shores! Immerse yourself in the beauty of the ocean, swim alongside graceful leopard sharks, and unwind as we watch the sun set.

• 🛟 Find us AT LIFE GUARD STATION #32 FACING LIFEGUARD STATION #32 FROM PARKING LOT WE ARE ON LEFT SIDE SEE PHOTO SECTION.
• 🦈 Swim with Leopard Sharks: Experience the thrill of swimming with these gentle creatures in their natural habitat.
• 🌅 Sunset Viewing at 7:23pm: Relax on the beach and enjoy a stunning sunset over the ocean.
• 🅿️ Parking is free in their lot. There’s also street parking.

What to Bring:
• Your own food and beverages, and plates/cup/utensils, etc. and trash bags to pick up any trash you msy have.
• NO littering, glass, alcohol, pets, or kids
• This is NOT a potluck.
• Beach essentials ie: towels, chairs, blankets, umbrellas, and sunscreen.
• Snorkeling gear (goggles, etc.) to swim with the leopard sharks.
• Anything else you need to make your day comfortable and enjoyable.

KEEP YOUR RSVP CURRENT - Avoid being a no show or same day drop off. A 48 hour minimum notice is required to cancel, thereby preventing others from attending!

Leopard Sharks:

Every year, thousands of leopard sharks swarm to La Jolla shores, hanging out for a couple months just beyond the breaking waves at the southern end of the Shores Beach.

It’s the largest annual aggregation of leopard sharks in the world.

You can see leopard sharks just by swimming out into the water at La Jolla Shores Beach, or by wading into the water up to your knees or hips.

If you encounter one, there’s no reason to be scared of them, as the sharks do not bite or bother humans unless provoked. The Birch Aquarium says that if you’re respectful of them, then you can expect they’ll be the same towards you.
