Join Us for a Celebration of Community, Culture & California History

Escondido’s most iconic and historic event is back! The Grape Day Festival returns to beautiful Grape Day Park — just steps from City Hall and the California Center for the Arts — for a fun-filled day of entertainment, heritage, and community connection.

This beloved festival dates back to 1908 and once drew thousands from across Southern California to celebrate Escondido’s thriving agriculture.

Now, more than a century later, the Escondido History Center, in partnership with Brothers of 6 Charities, invites you to experience this vibrant tradition all over again.

Enjoy the festive sounds of country, mariachi, and other local musical acts playing throughout the day!

🛠️ Historic Demonstrations & Artisan Village
Step into the past with live demos of old-time skills like bobbin lace, corn shelling, spinning, and weaving.

🍇 Grape Stomping Experience
Kick off your shoes and stomp grapes the old-fashioned way — a festival favorite for all ages! Plus, enjoy free fresh table grapes as you walk throughout the park.

🥛 Cow Milking Demo
Stop by Hollandia Dairy’s interactive cow milking station for a unique farm-to-festival experience.

🍷 Wine & Beer Garden (21+)
Sip and savor local wines, beers, and other delectable alcoholic beverages from across San Diego County in our shaded tasting area.

🌮 Delicious Local Food
Dig into crowd-pleasing eats — from mouthwatering BBQ and tacos, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

Connect with local organizations including Native American groups, first responders, and community partners sharing their stories and contributions.

We meet at Noon at 351 N. Broadway, Escondido. Feel free to come later and enjoy on your own. The festival ends at 6pm, but please feel free to leave when it is convenient for you.
