Casual walk around Lake Miramar

Get out for a nice casual walk around Lake Miramar, a paved, 5 mile loop, 1.5 hours max. It is a popular, scenic recreation reservoir owned by the City of San Diego. They offer boat, kayak, bike rentals and more.

Every step offers beautiful views including the ocean on a clear day. There is usually an eastbound breeze.

Paw protection is highly suggested for your furry friends as the pavement can be hot for them.

Take something for a second layer in case it’s a cool morning, sun screen, hat, plenty of water and comfortable walking shoes. There are restrooms next to the rental shop and port-a-potties throughout the lake.

When entering the park stay to the right and follow the short curve to the the east parking lot. If no spots are left go back towards the entrance and you will see the west parking lot. Then walk east to the meeting spot. Meet between the restrooms and rental shop at 9am, start walking by 9:10. If late, start your walk east in a counter clockwise direction. If late around 20+ minutes walk clockwise around the lake and meet us somewhere mid-trail.
