Jerome Courshon Reveals the Secrets of Distribution
Come join Jerome Courshon (“THE SECRETS TO DISTRIBUTION: Get Your Movie Distributed Now!”) as he outlines and discusses what is available to Producers & Directors today. He'll discuss the current realities for filmmakers and explode some of the prevalent myths that have become viral in the filmmaking community. Jerome will also share some key strategies for getting your feature film or documentary into the various markets’ revenue streams, as well as how to choose the right distributors and/or digital platforms.
Jerome Courshon is one of today’s leading experts in independent film distribution. Through his lively lectures, master classes and private consulting services, he takes the guesswork out of how the Motion Picture distribution industry works. He teaches a course, "The Secrets to Distribution: Get Your Movie Distributed Now," to both neophyte and established Producers & Directors (more info at: http://www.Distribution.LA) He has written columns and articles on film distribution for many trade publications, and has been quoted in major business publications such as the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times and MSN News.
[See his latest articles at TheWrap: http://www.thewrap.com/movies/blog-post/road-distributing-your-film-not-hard-you-think-114136 ]
Courshon also speaks at various film schools and film festivals both domestically and internationally, sharing his vast knowledge of the film distribution ‘game.’ A producer in his own right ("God, Sex & Apple Pie" distributed through Warner Bros.), he spent nearly a decade at HBO working in several capacities, most notably in Original Programming and HBO Films. He also has worked in Original Programming and Development for Comedy Central.
