4mi Encinitas to Swami's Beach dog walk "out & back" & Opt. Taco Tues stop

Please join me & my dogs on a new version of a coastal out & back hike/walk from Cottonwood Creek Park in Encinitas to Swami's Beach. This is a variation of a walk we did recently but shorter. On our way to Swami's Beach will make a "surprise" stop that our dogs will love as well as few other short stops to see the Encinitas Boat Houses (completed in 1929) and the Historic 1883 Encinitas Schoolhouse. We will pass the Realization Center and can stop for anyone who has not seen it. We will meet at Cottonwood Creek Park where there is a small parking lot and clean restrooms. There may be minor some hills At Swami's we will take a water & bathroom break before returning to our start.
If you need to return to the start before the group does, please let me know. It's pretty straightforward.

There's a small parking lot at Cottonwood Creek Park but I suggest carpooling as it fills up fast and school's out so it may be busy with young families. There may be street parking in the nearby neighborhoods. Come early and hang out in the park with your dog.
Event time doesn't not include the stop for Tacos.
Optional Taco stop: After we return to Cottonwood Creek Park those of us with a taco craving will walk to the dog friendly Taco Stand at: 642 South Coast Hwy 101

PARTICIPANTS: This is a ladies only group. No children, or others hike with us. If a friend would like to join us on a hike, they must join the group. New members are always welcome!
YOUR CAPABILITIES: Read the entire hike description carefully. Know your limits. Sign up only if you feel the hike is doable as described and bring all recommended materials and equipment. If you do not bring water or recommended equipment, you may not be able to continue on the hike, at the organizer’s discretion.
YOUR RSVP: Take your RSVP seriously. If you need to cancel, do so ASAP to make room for others and to aid the organizer. No Shows or those who cancel after the RSVP is closed, without direct contact to the organizer, risk being blocked from other hikes, at the organizer’s discretion.

LEAVING THE GROUP DURING A HIKE: If you want to go ahead of the group or need to leave the hike early, please alert the organizer. Let the organizer know when you’ve completed the hike if you finish ahead of her. If you leave the group/hike without notifying the organizer, you risk being blocked from future hikes.
DONATIONS: 100% optional and not required, your $5.99/year covers the basic costs to keep the meetup group up and running. Donations go towards special events such as the monthly birthday celebrations (gifts, raffle prizes), group giveaways and other enhancements to the group!
BRINGING GUESTS: Please do NOT bring a guest unless they are signed up and have RSVP’d for the hike. All hikers should sign up for our group so they can agree to our disclaimer and the details of the hike.

Dog Group: You are completely responsible for the behavior and welfare of your dog and yourself. The host is not at all responsible for you or your dog. By participating in this event, you acknowledge your responsibility and liability. Dogs must be at least 8 months old and fully vaccinated.
Bring water and a bowl for your dog. Bring water and a snack for yourself. Bring MORE water than you think you and your dog might need - summer hikes can be harder on your dog than you might think.

LEASH REQUIREMENT: No retractable leashes will be used on this hike. Only leashes 6' or less in length are permitted. Dogs must remain on-leash for the entire hike.
SPACE: Do not allow dogs to meet via nose to nose or nose to tail interactions, especially upon arrival. Maintain a minimum 3' distance between dogs at all times.
REACTIVITY: Please position your dog in the back of the pack if they are reactive or uncomfortable in a group. Alert other owners when their dogs get too close to your dog and/or invade your dog's space.
