4+mi easy out & back Dog walk around the perimeter of Carlsbad Flower field area

Details

Join me & my pups on an urban walk we did earlier in the year with minor changes. We'll walk on a wide paved walking trail along the Grand Palisades Resort promenade that parallels the flower fields (currently out of season). It'll be an enjoyable walk and STROLLER friendly. We will continue towards around the back side of Legoland on a paved road on towards the Crossings Golf Course then return to our start. If you're interested in joining me for an early lunch at Karl Strauss, let me know at the start of the event. I will reserve a spot for us in their dog friendly patio. Pack plenty of water for yourself & your dog as well as sun protection and easy walking shoes.
Please allow for driving time through morning traffic.
Mileage: 5 or less
Difficulty: Easy-moderate (minor uphill near Legoland)
Elevation: Minimal, maybe 100-200 feet (optional loop).
Length of Hike: Padded to 3 hours, more if you're joining me for lunch
Pace: Dog walking pace, with water stops & for photos
Mostly flat on sidewalk/paved road. We won't be taking any shortcuts and will cross at intersections with lights. We will not enter Legoland. Here is some info about the trail:
Meet at the Karl Strauss parking lot. Park at the west end nearest to the Grand Palisades Hotel where we can take a restroom break if needed. The parking signs note that parking is for Karl Strauss only but it is not enforced during the week. There's also parking along Armada if you choose to park on the street. Safer to park in the lot.
Please come early to account for a restroom stop.

Please call if you're late or lost: 858-735-4527
