CityIQ Webinar for SGC SD App Challenge
Details
• What we'll do
City of San Diego started the world’s largest Internet of Things (IoT) platform deployment by placing 3,200 Current, powered by GE’s CityIQ™ intelligent nodes on streetlights across the city. San Diego is putting powerful real-time data into the hands of the community and benefiting from a new app economy. Deployment began late 2017 and is expected to be completed in late Q2, 2018.
This node embedded with multiple sensors to capture real-time data on the move. Current’s intelligent cities API’s make the vast amount of sensor data actionable through the cloud. These open, yet highly secured, API’s deliver real-time intelligence to cities allowing them to enhance their open data policies and begin civic engagement models. Think of the possibilities for City of San Diego with this open, interoperable IoT platform to build its digital infrastructure that captures real-time ubiquitous data to drive endless outcomes from reducing traffic congestion, driving new economic development and job creation to reducing gun violence and increasing pedestrian safety.
Thanks to the city, you are invited to get your fingers on the pulse of San Diego and unleash your innovation with CityIQ live data to solve the challenges in four categories: Climate Action, Wireless Health, Public Safety, and City Permitting. Join us on April 18th at 7pm, to learn:
- CityIQ API data
- Onboarding instruction
- Sample API calls
- Q&A’s
