ABOUT THIS EVENT
The SDN Netherlands Chapter is pleased to announce an upcoming meetup on service design and sustainability in the context of the 'Circular Economy Week', which is taking place across the Netherlands. We have three great speakers who will share their knowledge and experience with us, with room for questions, discussion and networking.
SPEAKERS
Miranda de Groot - Systemic Studio
Miranda is a Circular & Regenerative Experience Designer who strives to create experiences that drive the circular economy. By identifying opportunities to (re)design products and services for the entire lifecycle, she aims to eliminate waste and prolong product life. Additionally, she integrates regenerative practices that enhance ecosystems and increase biodiversity.
Joost van Leeuwen - Aligned by Design
Joost focuses his service design efforts on ways to accelerate the transition to a sustainable society. He believes tackling climate change is not a technology problem, but a people problem. A problem which service design is in a unique position to address. Joost has a range of circular and sustainability projects under his belt, both in the private and public sector - including closing the loop for material streams at Dutch municipalities.
Andrea Vos - Clearly
Andrea is a freelancer who leads teams to design impactful services, systems, and experiences that enhance lives by simplifying the complex, reducing friction, and adding lasting value. With expertise in user experience, service design and design strategy, she turns core challenges into actionable opportunities, guides teams to create solutions that are both meaningful and achievable to foster a positive, focused environment. The past two years she has worked on CircuLaw, a service and platform that helps local governments to accelerate the circular transition. They offer legal instruments based on Dutch legislation per product chain and provide insight into European legislation.
