She looks to go on the ground to uncover true human-centered needs and works to curate strategies to creatively solve problems. Ashleigh has a background in Engineering from Cornell University and is currently pursing Masters Degrees in Industrial Design and Design Management at Savannah College of Art and Design [SCAD]. She has experience working as a teacher, researcher, and consultant in the fields Finance, Knowledge Management, Secondary Language, Electric Transportation, and Innovative Tech. Derek Peterson, Lead Design Researcher, Capgemini Invent Derek works with businesses to uncover game-changing insights about their services as Lead Design Researcher at Capgemini Invent. Focused on making meaningful experiences between people and technology, he works with businesses to understand their customers and employees, then translates that discovery into practical solutions that maximize company and human benefit. With a background as a project manager, information architect, UX generalist, and user researcher, Derek has developed strategies across diverse industries, including Fortune 500 companies, top universities, and local Philly arts and culture organizations.
