MEGA Networking Event - Employment & Jobs, Startups & Entrepreneurship, Small Businesses & providers #shoplocal

## About this event

There is no doubt that the local labour and jobs market is changing. And there are more people exploring self-employment and entrepreneurship, as well as employers looking for people to take on.
Many employers and entrepreneurs are finding it difficult to fill positions, with job seekers or career changers with skills but needing connections into organisations and industry sectors.
When you do understand what jobs are on offer and where they are, the growth sectors and critical job roles in demand, what is likely to happen with the future of jobs, skills and work, then you are in a position to make the most of it.
You might want to start your own thing, exploring self-employment and startups.
So you might be asking, how do you make the most of these opportunities? And get networked to the right people?

If you are a business and industry rep, educator and trainer, employer and entrepreneur or startup, job seeker and/or career changer, you are welcome to join this event alongside a great lineup of speakers.
You are invited to a networking event to hear about the possibilities for yourself and/or your business, with speakers covering:

  • Regional picture
  • Economic development picture
  • Employer picture
  • Entrepreneur picture

Nibbles and drinks will be provided so you can network with others, hosted by Lisa Brock, Employment Facilitator – Local Jobs Program, Jodi Shaw from Business Port Pirie, Ja Turnbull from MEGT, Scott and Wendy Perry, Sea to Valley Startups.
With a #shoplocal set up too, where local businesses can have mini stalls with activities, experiences, products, services and stock to sell, plus service providers.
You will be able to interact with employment services and training providers, entrepreneurial ecosystem members, programs and providers, small businesses and startups, that can help your job search, you to find new employees or business opportunities, plus info on starting your business and making new connections.
If you would like to have a free mini stall then please email [masked], thanks.
