Short Rockingham Rail Trail Walk with Optional Dinner/Drinks in Newmarket After

Details

I like a good after work rail trail walk, so I figured why not see if anyone else wanted to come along. The Rockingham Rail Trail is a fairly popular spot for bikers, runners, and walkers. There is some construction right now at the entrance on the map, so you'll want to park across from the Rockingham Ballroom in their parking lot. This is right next to the construction, and once you drive there it's obvious where to park as this is the only access to the trailhead.

We can meet at 5 pm in the parking lot where the trail starts and walk the rail trail for an hour or two. We'll be back before sunset, so probably 2-4 miles tops, unless people want to make it shorter. It's mostly flat, being a rail trail, so it's easy walking. This will be low-key and just a chance to go for a walk in the woods. I've seen turtles, porcupines, and all sorts of birds out there. Bring some good shoes, water, and whatever you need to walk a couple miles in the woods.

If it looks like heavy rain, I'll cancel this event, likely a day or two before. Check this page before you head out.
We can go into Newmarket after and grab a bite or drinks if people are feeling it. We could go to Wing-Itz or some of the other options.

Feel free to come and go as you please, again, this is just a low key after-work walk in the woods.

Message me for questions or concerns.

Hope to see you there!
