Details

Special Demo:
This month we'll spend a little time demonstrating and explaining some of the fantastic updates to Lightroom and Photoshop. There are some marvelous, some long-waited, updates to see including...

In Lightroom:

  • precision masking
  • super-resolution
  • simple but highly effective subject and sky selection
  • new and simpler Preset section
  • and more

In Photoshop:

  • improved subject/object selection
  • color transfer (a "neural filter")
  • landscape mixer (another neural filter)
  • image harmonization (yet another neural filter)
  • sky replacement updates

Monthly Challenge:
Our challenge for this month's meeting is Animals in Motion. Between now and the meeting, take up to three photographs which somehow speak to your interpretation of the subject - please feel free to take great liberty with your interpretation of the subject.

Don't be shy, we have a very encouraging group of critics and we'll all learn something from the experience. Most of all, have fun shooting!

Instructions for Uploading Photos:
Upload photos at www.PhotoMeets.com - an upload site for Seacoast Photographers' challenges. If you already have an account, login and add your photos. If you haven't created an account there yet, click the "Request Invite" button, add your name and email, choose a password, and you can then upload your photos.

NOTE: This is an in-person meeting again:
After about a year and half of meeting online, we are back to meeting in real life at the Seacoast Photographers' studio in downtown Newmarket, NH.

Coming from Exeter, the mill is on the right (and on the left coming from points north). Turn into the parking lot driveway at the round blue Rivermoor Landing sign, directly across the street from the Big Bean.

The driveway is actually Penstock Way (no street sign, but you can see it on Google or Bing maps). The driveway is directly across from where Chapel Street intersects with Main Street.

Once you turn onto the driveway, make your first immediate left into the parking lot and find yourself a space. Use only the parking lot between the mill building and the street. Parking is plentiful and free. Please don't park out back or in resident spaces, only in the lot at the front of our mill building.

The studio is on the ground level (which is below street level). Come in the glass door nearest the driveway, turn left down the short hallway, and come on in.

Other:
Anything photography- or photographer-related is fair game.

COVID-19 safety measures

Event will be indoors
We will limit attendance to provide adequate space between attendees and request that, dependent on prevailing conditions, you maintain social distance, wear a mask on arrival and when not seated, and/or are sufficiently immunized.
The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
