Our quest for the elusive Perfect Hot Dog takes us to Two Guys Grille in Morrisville—and apparently, Two Guys believe that when one hot dog is good, two are better!
Their $14 platter comes with TWO grilled all-beef hot dogs plus a side, giving us twice the opportunity to conduct the serious scientific research our mission demands. And these aren’t lonely little dogs waiting for attention. They can be loaded up with generous helpings of customizable toppings, including crispy bacon, melted cheese, house chili, coleslaw, and plenty of other possibilities.
Then comes the difficult decision: What side? Cajun fries? Cheese fries? Onion rings? Sweet potato fries? Maybe a side salad for the illusion of balance?
There’s comfortable indoor and outdoor seating, plus a wide assortment of beverages—soft drinks, sweet or unsweet tea, lemonade, Arnold Palmers, and a selection of North Carolina craft and domestic beers.
So bring your appetite, your opinions, and your discerning hot-dog palate. Two dogs, one mission, and another step toward discovering the Perfect Hot Dog!
