Society for the Education of American Sailors
SEAS Morris Chapter is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to sailing and the teaching of sailing skills.

*Do you love sailing but don't have a boat?
*Would you like to be a part of an organization dedicated to sailing, and having fun? We have gone sailing in the Caribbean, Greece, Croatia, Tahiti, Spain, and other locations.
SEAS is more than just sailing, it's a club. Throughout the year we offer a variety of parties, sailing events, and trips in addition to regular monthly meetings. It's a great way to meet people, looking for sailing opportunities, or who have a boat and are looking for a crew.

SEAS Cruising skipper class

Are you ready to elevate your sailing skills and embark on a thrilling adventure across the Caribbean? SEAS is excited to offer an exclusive advanced sailing class designed for experienced sailors. This unique opportunity will provide hands-on experience with docking, anchoring, and open ocean sailing as we journey from one picturesque Caribbean island to another.
Trip Details:
Vessel: 42ft Catamaran: A modern, spacious vessel offering a stable and fast sailing experience.
Skipper: Paul Duerk is a USCG Captain, ASA-certified and NauticEd (Captain) instructor with extensive sailing experience. Our skipper is passionate about teaching and ensuring that each participant gains valuable skills and confidence on the water.
Highlights:- Docking and Anchoring: Learn and practice essential techniques in a variety of conditions, enhancing your ability to manage these critical aspects of sailing.
- Open Ocean Sailing: Experience the thrill of navigating open waters as we sail between stunning Caribbean islands.
- Hands-On Training: Gain practical knowledge and refine your sailing abilities under the guidance of expert instructors.
- Scenic Destinations: Explore beautiful islands, pristine beaches, and vibrant marine life, making unforgettable memories along the way.
- Sailing skills taught are designed to satisfy SEAS Cruising Skipper requirements. SQB approval is still required and there may be additional requirements.

- Limited to 6 Participants: To ensure personalized instruction and ample hands-on practice, we are limiting this event to 6 people.
- Successful sailors: Your level of skill may qualify you for Nirvana skipper SEAS Morris’s cruising boat), and SEAS trips Cruising Skipper. It will depend on performance and evaluation.

Requirements:
- Experience Level: This class is designed for sailors with experience of cruising, first mates or small boat skippers.
- Commitment to Learning: Participants should be eager to actively participate and enhance their sailing skills, which includes pre-trip preparation, group learning and discussions and hands-on practice.
