What we’re about
SAILING OPPORTUNITIES with SEAS Morris Chapter
Society for the Education of American Sailors
SEAS Morris Chapter is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to sailing and the teaching of sailing skills.
*Have you ever wanted to learn to sail?
*Do you love sailing but don't have a boat?
*Would you like to be a part of an organization dedicated to sailing, and having fun? We have gone sailing in the Caribbean, Greece, Croatia, Tahiti, Spain, and other locations.
SEAS is more than just sailing, it's a club. Throughout the year we offer a variety of parties, sailing events, and trips in addition to regular monthly meetings. It's a great way to meet people, looking for sailing opportunities, or who have a boat and are looking for a crew.
Join us at our monthly meetings at Adam's Family Restaurant, 41 US-46, Budd Lake, NJ - open to the public: 1st Wednesday of each month. 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
Check out our web page: www.morris.sailseas.com
facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sailseas.morris.
Note: Joining this Meetup does not make you a SEAS member. We are merely using this platform to get the word out to a wider audience.
To become a SEAS member visit us at:
https://seas-morris.squarespace.com/joinandsail
As a non-SEAS member you are still welcome to attend our events, you just can't sail our boats, except as a passenger on one of our sloops, space permitting.
Many of our events are not posted to Meetup, instead emailed to paid members. So, join!

This picture is from our recent trip—an ideal spot for sailors. With steady winds, white sand beaches, crystal-clear water, great snorkeling, and laid-back beach bars, the islands are made for easy cruising. It’s the perfect setting for a fun and relaxed week on the water. Ready to set sail?
We are going to the BVIs.

⮚Think of it as glamping on the water—beautiful destinations, clear seas, amazing marine life, and cozy quarters—all while learning to be a resourceful crew member. No sailing experience needed—just bring your sense of adventure!

Contact me for payment options bylasea@gmail.comAll new participants will need to connect with Paul Duerk to go over trip expectations. We want everyone to understand what the experience entails and feel great about joining. This is a hands-on, participatory adventure—we keep costs low because we are the crew. You'll be part of the action: sailing, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and more. If you're looking for a drink served on the bow, this isn't that kind of trip—but if you’re up for an unforgettable adventure, you’re in the right place.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancelation requests made before 6/15/25 will result in a refund minus $50. This is a group activity. Although you pay as an individual, the boat is rented by the group. As a result, cancellations after 6/15/25 will result in a full refund less $50, only if a replacement is found. A refund will not be issued if a replacement is not found.
Be sure to bring power converters as one of the boats uses 220 volt outlets.
