What we’re about
This is a place for anyone who wants to celebrate life and living.
We like to play, sing, dance, eat, drink, hike, and have a ton of fun. If that strikes a chord in you, please send us a quick intro.
We do volleyball, hikes, camps, rock climbing, tennis, table tennis, and more!
Note: We believe in lifting one another. Toxicity, negativity, jibes, sarcasm, showing off, and bullying are strict no-nos.
RSVP Etiquette:
We want the events to be fun for everyone, so we enforce a strict "No Show" policy. The majority of this group agrees that two "No Shows" without informing the event host should result in an ejection from the group. :-) Please understand your no-show prevents someone else from joining.
Most of our outdoor events are free. Donations towards gas, water, and food are welcome and appreciated.
For any paid events:
Please RSVP and pay to confirm your spot. We will move anyone who didn't pay to "Not Going" 48 hours before the start of the event. If you can't make it to the event, please inform the host. If anyone on the waitlist confirms that they will take your spot, you will be refunded the full cost of the event.

🌿 Seaweed Harvest Adventure at Lisabeula: A Bounty of Oceanic Delights! 🌊
Permission to harvest seaweed:
I have successfully petitioned Vashon Island Board Council to vote in a change in Vashon laws to allow seaweed harvesting.Agreement to appear in Public Media:
Since it's relatively unknown that harvesting seaweed on vashon is allowed, I am looking to reach out to media to publicize more information for the public. This is likely to involve agreeing to release some of our photos of our trip so everyone will need to agree to this before being allowed to join the trip.Season:
We should be in peak season right before seaweed starts to spawn in the summer. This is where we expect it to taste best. As a bonus we are going before any red tide can appear.Seaweed species:
I have confirmed sightings of the following species.- Bull kelp
- Brown algae
- Rockweed
- Gutweed/Ulva
Regulations:
Read here for regulations. Please buy a shellfish/seaweed license.Equipment:
- Shellfish license
- Wader(seaweed is better harvested from sea than on sand)
- Scissors or knife
- Foraging bag
- Gloves
- Waterproof shoes. Prefer waders or rain boots
- Food to share and Cooking equipment for lighthouse quarters
- Clam knife if you plan to eat cockles and butter clams and remove sand before cooking.
- Your host will bring a scale
- Things you plan to bring to airbnb
Accommodations
We are staying at 2 historic light house quarters at point robinson from 5/9-5/11 so 2 nights and can take up to 14 people. I cannot guarantee you will get a comfortable sleeping arrangement or that you won't need to share a large bed. The only way to guarantee you can sleep on your own is to bring a sleeping bag.Quarter A
- 2 Queen beds to be shared by 2 people
- 2 single beds
- 2 roll-a-ways
Quarter B
- 1 Queen beds to be shared by 2 people
- 2 single beds
- 2 roll-a-ways
I am capping this trip to 14 people max who are staying at the lighthouse quarters. I'm not able to accommodate additional people past 14 since the quality of the event will go down. If you want to make your separate trip that is fine but I wouldn't be able to coordinate with you.
Payment
Cost is $150
Make sure payment is for friends/familyRefund
The only way to get a refund is to get a replacement to take your spot.Cooking afterwards:
For those staying at Airbnb, we can cook at airbnb after harvest. If I end up allowing people coming for day trip to join us, you guys should bring your own portable grill and we can use the picnic tables at the park.Communication for carpools and other info:
