The vibe
Towering old-growth trees, calm lake mornings, waterfall detours, and mossy trails. We’ll roll in Friday, settle under the rainforest canopy, and share a campfire under the stars. Saturday is for hiking, waterfalls, lake time, and maybe a bonus Pacific Coast sunset. Sunday is slow coffee by the water before packing up.

Weather

  • Fri (Sep 26): Partly sunny, around 61°F / 48°F
  • Sat (Sep 27): Partly sunny, around 62°F / 47°F
  • Sun (Sep 28): Showers possible, around 59°F / 44°F

Days will be mild and good for hiking; nights crisp — pack layers and a rain shell.

Hike & Explore
Easy trails:

  • Quinault Rain Forest Nature Trail (0.5 mi loop) — moss-draped rainforest, quick stroll.

Easy/Moderate hikes:

  • Cascade Falls (2.7 mi) — forest trail ending at a waterfall.
  • Gatton Creek Falls (1.5 mi) — short hike with creek crossings and a waterfall payoff.

Waterfall stops (drive-up): Merriman Falls and Bunch Creek Falls — classic roadside stunners on the Quinault Loop.
