Most everyone has heard of D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) and similar RPGs (Role-Playing Games). And most people think of them as exactly that -- as games, things we do for fun. But that's not all they can be, or all they are. Exploratory narratives help us connect to and explore what it means to be human, and build both creativity and empathy. It's not just "playing pretend" -- and playing pretend isn't just about casting magic spells at evil monsters. It's about spending some time being someone else, and getting a feel for how that "someone else" engages with the world. So -- are RPGs for you? Find some friends who like to tell stories, or experience the world, or dream and talk and feel new things, and try it out! Advice available on request.

This week's speaker will be Mikki Phoenix (she/her).

After the talk, we'll have a group discussion to explore the ideas presented, and to share related thoughts, resources, and personal experiences.
