Online Service: Not Being Racist Is Not Enough

Details
“In a racist society, it is not enough to not be racist, we must be anti-racist” -- Angela Davis.
What's the difference, and why is it critical? In a society built on and suffused with racist actions and ideas, how do we avoid contributing to the problem, and work toward actually fulfilling our founders' claimed goals of equality for all? This talk will draw primarily on the work of Ibram X. Kendi.
This week's speaker will be Eva-Lise Carlstrom.
After the talk, we'll have a group discussion to explore the ideas presented, and to share related thoughts, resources, and personal experiences.
