What we’re about
Wishing you all a New Year full of lasting joyfulness and serenity. Thank you for all your support in various ways to help us continue delivering Dharma to a place near you.
Anyone who has wondered about the following questions will benefit from our meetup sessions:
What's the point of my life repeating the same activities day in, day out?
I keep changing so who am I?
Why is it that my happiness in life never lasts?
I've done many kind acts but they all have backfired on me. What else should I do?
Is life a series of gains and then losses?
Why do we hear so many bad news? How to live a fulfilling life in spite of the negativity that surrounds us.
Buddhism is a teaching that empowers us to practice daily for maximum results. Buddha is the one who attained the highest level of enlightenment that enables one to attain the truth that leads one and all to true and lasting happiness. As we learn the teachings, we also come to gain awareness of our thoughts and the difference between happiness that fades and happiness that does not.
Join us for an informal introduction session and let's get to know each other.
If you have questions about how Buddhism helps with a particular situation in your daily life, feel free to send a message to me and I will make sure to cover them one by one as we advance in our studies.
Our meetup event is free to attend but donations are gladly accepted. In Buddhism, donations are not measured by the amount but by our sincere mind to contribute to a cause greater than ourselves. Thank you for your generosity so far to help us sustain these activities. You can support our cause by contributing through PayPal or Venmo at bitae22@hotmail.com
Although not mandatory, I suggest the following book for our meetup studies if it's possible for you to get it:

Also if you're new to Buddhism, it helps if you watch this video on Buddhism:

Last but not the least, if you're interested in a one on one session by donation, please message me. Have a great day everybody and looking forward to many meaningful discussions with you!
By the way, please don't get discouraged by seeing the few RSVPs you see on this page as we have about 10-20 participants each time through different venues.

See all- Women's Group to Share & Support Each Other With Dharma & KarmaLink visible for attendees
Hi our friends and specially female friends,
Hope this message finds you well. We're going to have our monthly women's group to support each other in learning more about Buddhism & our practices on the first Tuesday of the month at 5 PM Pacific time.
We'll be talking about each of the six daily practices in Buddhism; for example, cultivating patience translates to more joy and serenity in the heart. We learn how we can cultivate patience and wisdom among other topics.
The first 20 minutes I'd like to get to know who is joining our zoom session so please have your camera on. After that, we will record our presentation and Q&A and upload to YouTube for access by our premium YouTube members. Thank you for your understanding. We have 10-20 women joining us each women's group meeting from our groups all over the country.
If you're interested in learning Buddhism but have a schedule conflict, please email Bita at bitadharma22@gmail.com
Our classes are free but our classes & sangha are sustained completely by the dana gratitude contributions of people like you! Dana gratitude donations for our classes are gratefully accepted at https://donorbox.org/purelandschooldonation. Suggested donation for the event is $5 - $20.

More about Buddhism:
Buddhism teaches us we live to experience inner joy, which is composed of peace of mind and fulfillment of the heart.
It’s sometimes called equanimity or the ultimate form of mindfulness; a kind of serene mind that does not change like the image of the moon on the lake; no matter how strong of a storm blows, the image of the moon on the lake never goes away as long as the moon (of enlightenment is in the sky). Some psychologists call it being in the ‘zone’ like enjoying rock climbing or playing chess.
But such happiness does not last long; eventually we have to return to our routine.
In Buddhism, the unhappiest person in the world is one who has no sense of gratitude. So cultivating any amount of gratitude instantly makes us happy.
