About us
Welcome to Seattle Creative Writing Moms! This group is a landing spot for mothers to cultivate their writing practices. Bring your laptop, notebook, or completed work to the table for feedback or simply quiet time to flesh things out. We will spend most of each meetup writing quietly, and the last 30 minutes to discuss and share if you feel so inclined.
YOU MUST BE A MOTHER TO JOIN, KIDS STAY AT HOME -- Moms are uniquely busy juggling childcare, work, hobbies, and more. We all need time to ourselves. I am creating this group as a promise to myself, as a mother, to prioritize my creative practice, and cultivate community with other moms who desire the same. We aren't JUST moms, we are wells of creative energy. Let this group be your container.
Every fourth Monday of the month at Third Place Books Seward Park.
All genres of writing welcome. This group is BIPOC and queer friendly (I am both!). Absolutely no racism, homophobia, transphobia, or other discrimination.
