What we're about
This is a relatively informal group of Seattle-area data scientists, ML engineers and software engineers. We meet monthly at tech companies who are willing to host us in downtown Seattle or Bellevue, and have a format which varies from a series of lightning talks, evening meetups, weekend workshops by visiting or local speakers.

๐ฃ๏ธ Speakers
Britton Stamper & Mira Winkel
Britton Stamper
Serving as the co-founder of Push.ai, 2 times as Head of Data and 3 years at Periscope Data, Britton has worked with hundreds of data teams on dbt and data deployments.
He's been a dbt power user since 2018, most recently building Push.ai as one of the pioneering products on top of dbt metrics and other semantic layers. We'll hear from Britton how you can shift your organization's mentality from dashboards to metrics and use this new metrics mentality to shape your organization: better align departments, drive transparency and consistency, and enable downstream consumers to move faster than before.
Mira Winkel
Being in the consulting space a touch over a year, Mira has already seen a number of dbt implementations at high profile companies. In that short amount of time sheโs pushing the art-of -the-possible in dbt to satisfy the requests of her clients - exploring the graph object, redefining role based access control management, and accelerating data masking implementations utilizing dbt as the central control tool. Outside the office, sheโs a certified sommelier and can tell you a thing or two about fine dining.
