Machine Learning at Concur pt. 2
Needs a date and time

Concur (1st Floor Conference Room)

We asked the Machine Learning team at Concur (http://concur.com/) if they would share some of the cool problems that they are working on now. We discovered that they are doing way too much stuff to cram into a single meeting. This is part two of two. You need not have to have attended the first part. This is different content. Abstracts forthcoming Speaker Bios Audrey Chang Audrey Chang received a Ph.D. writing code for MRIs and reconstructing images of brains on a large scale, and is generally the kind of data nerd that will make spreadsheets for video games. As the newest member of Concur’s Data Science team, she enjoys spelunking in the interesting datasets and answering ill-defined questions. Mike Stark - Data Scientist Mike Stark (https://www.linkedin.com/in/drmstark) earned a Ph.D. In astrophysics from the University of Maryland working on Ultra-high energy astronomy, an early big-data approach to astronomy. In a postdoctoral appointment at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and in his subsequent academic career he studied black holes and neutron stars using data from X-ray detecting satellites. He recently transitioned from academia and astronomy to bring his experience to bear on the big data at Concur.
