Crystal Peak

Crystal Peak is a 6,600 ft summit in the Northeast Corner of Mount Rainier National Park. The hike begins in the forest. Gradually, the forest fades to alpine meadows full of wildflowers, huckleberries and blueberries. At the top you will find breathtaking panoramic views.
Distance: 8 miles rt.
Elevation gain: 3,100ft.
Rating: strenuous.
Pace: moderate.

Directions. Meet at 8:00AM on the ground floor of the new Issaquah Transit Center to car pool to the trail head.
It is about 65 miles from the park and ride to the trail head. (130 miles round trip). Bring some cash to cover the carpool fee and a stop for ice cream on the way back. 10 - 15 cents per mile is suggested for riders.
