Kendall Katwalk is one of the most unforgettable and exciting stretches of Pacific Crest Trail. Here, the trail crosses a long steep granite wall on the side of Kendall Peak. The Katwalk is a few feet wide and drops 1200 feet to the valley floor. We will cross the Katwalk and continue on the Pacific Crest Trail to Ridge Lake for lunch. This trail is full of views, meadows, ridges and flowers.
Distance: 13 miles rt.
Elevation gain: 3,000ft.
Rating: strenuous.
Pace: moderate.
This is a long hike. Bring plenty of water, food, and extra clothing in case the weather changes. Check the "About Us" page for more information on what to bring. Email the organizer if you have questions.
There is a party size limit of 12 in Wilderness areas. Only RSVP YES if you know you are going to attend. If your plans change, update your RSVP to NO as soon a possible to give someone else a chance to go in your place.
Directions. We will meet on the ground floor of the new Issaquah transit center to carpool to the trail head.
Bring some cash to cover the car pool fee and a stop for ice cream after the hike. 10-15 cents per mile is suggested for riders.
Note: A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the trail head.
