[In Person] Narrative Games One-Shot at Obec Brewing [Not a D&D Event]

Let’s try out some simple systems! This is a one-shot event dedicated to indie and narrative games. **This is not a D&D event**.

All experience levels are welcome! Narrative games place a heavy emphasis on improvisation and collaborative storytelling, so be prepared to use your communication skills to their fullest. Bring paper, pencils, and dice. If you don’t own gaming supplies, we’ll have some on hand to lend.

This event will be hosted at Obec Brewing and will be ** 21+**.

We’ll have signage up to help you find us. Check the patio if we aren’t in the main room.

What will we be playing?

1. Microscope - Build beautiful, tranquil jewels of civilization and then consume them with nuclear fire. Zoom out to watch the majestic tide of history wash across empires, then zoom in and explore the lives of the people who endured it.
2. Fiasco - Tell cinematic tales of small time capers gone disastrously wrong, inspired by films like Blood Simple, Fargo, The Way of the Gun, Burn After Reading, and A Simple Plan. You play ordinary people with powerful ambition and poor impulse control.

We may play one or both of these games depending on time and number of attendees.
