## Deadlands - Weird West

Swan's Song

Note:

This is a special Deadlands One-shot meant as a farewell game session as our host venue, Outer Planet Brewing, is closing, after several years of grace welcoming our wonderfully wacky bunch.

With that being said, new players are still and always welcome. We will be taking the following week off to find a new location to have our regular Tuesday night games.

Now on to the story....

This one-shot takes place in a popular brewery and pub known as the "Drunken Swan." The brewery is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The wooden hanging sign outside the pub depicts a swan swimming in an open-topped beer barrel.

The owner, Declan Swanson, runs the brewery with his wife, Catherine. Their two sons, MIchael and Thomas apprentice under their father.

Michael, the elder son, manages deliveries and shipping of their product to pubs and hotels around the city.

Thomas, the younger son, is the popular, handsome host of the pub. He greets everyone with a friendly smile, but doesn't tolerate folks that have too much to drink and try to cause trouble.

Besides its notoriety for its excellent brews, it also has a state-of-the-art automaton bartender. Known as 'Clarence' the mechanical wonder was installed two years ago. It has a human-like torso with arms and a head made of brass, gears, and other various steam components all dressed in a fine button-up white shirt and purple vest.

While it doesn't speak, it has served drink orders without mistake during its implementation. Instead of legs it moves behind the bar on a track embedded in the floor.

Our story begins as the celebration is already in progress. A local band has been hired to play music on the outdoor patio and seating area. Food vendors have set up on the street.
The brewery has also lowered prices on drinks for the night and is selling commemorative glass mugs for a dollar each.

Extra muscle has been hired to help keep order making sure nobody stirs up drunken shenanigans.

So belly up to the bar pardner and order a drink from Clarence! I'm sure nothing... weird... will happen.....

Table information:
Tuesday Night TTRPG @ Outer Planet brewing is a dual campaign table. Two DMs taking turns every two weeks to run their concurrent concepts. Nick runs a Dungeon Crawl Classics TTRPG set in his own homebrew world. Joe runs a Savage Worlds TTRPG called Deadlands. Both are absolutely amazing!
Our table is a positive, friendly, and welcoming space for all adventurers, regardless of class, race, gender or sexual identity. Any negativity fueled by real-world ignorance, hate, or fear will be met with swift action and possible permanent teleportation to the plane of eternal banishment.

FAQ:

• What is this?

For two weeks the table runs Deadlands, then for two weeks we run Dungeon Crawl Classics. This allows both DMs to recharge.

• What system is this?

• Im a new player, what can i do before showing up?

Hello! Depending on the time you have the easy answer is to show up 1/2 hour early, we can build you a character or help you choose from some pre-made characters.

• We sometimes have a rather large table. If you are interested in DMing, let either Nick or Joseph know. We are always interested in side tables to handle overflow.
