Calling all players who are looking for more variety in their TTRPGs. Pathfinder is often considered a more “crunchy” system than DnD but in my opinion it’s just a game with more options.

For some, more options means more thinking and decision making and that is a bad thing. However, if having an abundance of options and an extreme variety of playstyles tickles the crearive parts of your brain, then PF2E might be the game system for you.

It’s definitely a grittier system than DnD 5th edition. So fans of “souls-like” games may enjoy it as well. I wouldnt compare it with games like Elden Ring, but it’s definitely a less forgiving system than 5th Edition. Strategic play is rewarded and decisions that aren’t thought through can very easily lead to character death. Paizo, the publisher, doesn’t shy away from pushing and challenging players with their content.

If you’re still here after all that, go ahead and sign up. All of legal drinking age are welcome. We can meet at the pub and grab some drinks and talk shop. Bring a tablet or laptop (phones dont work) as we will be utilizing a free site/app to build characters. I’ll explain any game mechanics you don’t understand and try to guide you through the nuances of whatever class you’re interested in.

And if the system catches your interest and you want to play, you’ll be able to bring this character to one of my games in the future. Depending on turnout I plan on hosting some Pathfinder Society one-shot sessions.
