Learn to Play D&D 5th Edition (BEGINNERS only) at Urban Family Brewing

This is a one shot D&D 5th edition game for BEGINNERS who have NEVER played but want to try it or players who played older editions and want to learn 5th edition. (I'm mostly familiar with the legacy 2014 rules.)

We'll go slow and cover the game basics, from the different dice, to the character sheet, character classes and races, to adventuring, and combat. We won't build characters from scratch, but I'll have a selection of pre-made level 1 characters available. I will also have dice, pencils, and minis one hand.

What you should bring: YOUR ENTHUSIASM! Maybe a clipboard or notebook to write on during the game.

I do not use the MeetUp paid Priority system, you CAN RSVP without paying for a Meetup membership.

We are looking for Heroic Adventurers, so leave your evil, chaotic, solo, or morally questionable characters for your home game.

Urban Family Brewing is a 21+ venue (no pets). Our events are FREE, but we ask that you please support our Host Urban Family Brewing. We're here at their generosity, so be sure to buy some beer, snacks, or drinks to support our hosts and make it worth their time. No outside drinks, but outside food is okay. Ample street parking can be found in the area. UFB does not serve food, but there are often food trucks nearby. We often play on the second floor and there is no elevator. Let me know if you have mobility issues.

Our tables are positive, friendly, and welcoming spaces for all adventurers, regardless of class, race, gender, age, or sexual identity. Any negativity fueled by real-world ignorance, hate, or fear will be met with swift action and possible permanent teleportation to the plane of eternal banishment.
