If you want to be part of this group it is important that you TAKE YOUR RSVP's SERIOUSLY. No one likes a flakey friend. One of the Best Hikes in State ! Tolmie Peak ! Make friends ! BBQ

Needs a location

There are benefits to hiking with others especially if you’re new to the outdoors or to the trail you’ve chosen to hike.

  • More experienced hiking buddies can help you learn about the outdoors and how to use your hiking gear.
  • Hiking buddies can help you navigate new unfamiliar trails and provide insight if lost.
  • Hiking buddies can help if you get hurt.
  • Buddies help improve comfort levels when hiking. Hiking alone can be intimidating and lonely.
  • The right hiking buddies can be a lot of fun!
  • Hiking with others can be a safety benefit.

Hike to an old fire lookout with in-your-face views of Mount Rainier and a sapphire blue lake below. Tolmie Peak and Eunice Lake pack a one-two punch when it comes to scenery, but stopping at the picturesque lake is a perfect destination as well.

Tolmie Peak Trail is a beautiful hike, about 6.5 miles past alpine lakes and subalpine meadows to a fire tower lookout with great views of the surrounding peaks and a commanding view of Mount Ranier.

The two-story structure houses a lookout station on the upper level and storage at ground level. With an elevation gain of 1000 feet, this lake trail takes hikers up to Eunice Lake, Ipsut Pass - part of the Wonderland Trail, and up to Tolmie Peak Lookout.

Our very own Bouncing Nate and Crew will Lead this hike.

One of the favorite hikes in the park’s northwest corner leads to the Tolmie Peak fire lookout tower. Built in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the lookout is a historic structure designated a part of the Mount Rainier National Historic Landmark District. Lots of Pictures taking spots on the trail and scenic spots along the way.

This hikes here are amazing! It feels like I was walking in a picture or I was in a scene in The Sound Of Music. The grade is moderate, but the panoramic views are legendary and there’s no better place to enjoy sun on a summer day. On clear days, 360 degrees views the white-capped tips of the Cascade Mountains, Look even further and you spot to the north and Mt. Baker.

Thus reminding Northwest folks that even though they live on the bay, there’s an entire mountain range between them and the Puget Sound .
Such is the magic of the northwest: stunning landscapes just a short drive and a skip from downtown Seattle.

The challenge of the hikes here is more about breathing at a higher elevation [again, the 1000+ feet] than the elevation change. Stupendous views that are are abound once you get accumulated to the pressure change.

This will be moderate hikes on your own pace with groups of your skill level. beginner can do this hike !

One of my favorites hikes Sweeping views of the Cascade Mountains. Wildlife – Goats, birds, marmots, deer. Wildflowers galore. On a sunny day, there will be a lot of people here.

The gorgeous scenery comes to an extraordinary climax at top of the hike. The drive will be equally beautiful !!

This will be a full day so be prepared to have an adventure.

Best WA HIKES - Olallie Lake Swim Hike

Needs a location

Hiking with friends while enjoying great conversation and laughter is one of my favorite activities. Stopping and consciously engaging our senses when out hiking not only calms and grounds us—relaxing both mind and body—but it also deepens our connection to the natural world. Excuse the cliché, but mindful hiking is really about remembering to stop and smell the roses.

By sharing time on the trail together we not only get see these incredible locations and views together, but it also allows us to invest in our friendships. We laugh and make jokes like any good friends do. We also encourage one another on those days where we’re struggling.

Our very own Matthew & Gang will lead you on this ! Arrive early to ride. Make new friends in the alpine lakes.

Olallie Lake from the Talapus Lake Trailhead is a moderate 1224 ft, 6.1 mile out and back hike and the perfect introduction to the outdoors for hikers and beginning backpackers.

Talapus Lake trail leads you through a shaded forest with bridges and moss covered trees. Follow up a rooted path of gentle switchbacks for the first 656 ft of elevation gain. Just before crossing Talapus Creek, a fork greets hikers. WTA crews installed a turnpike here, a structure that helps keep hikers’ feet dry. At this fork you have a choice: head left for lake access or right for continuation to Olallie Lake. Refreshing clear green water of this alpine lake is perfect to take a cool dip before lunch.

We stop at a local coffee house on the way to the trail head. After the hike we have dinner at a North Bend favorite restaurant.

Summer allows you to take full advantage of the stunning and colorful scenery. Bring your cameras for wonderful photos and selfies.

Please indicate if you are willing to drive and how many can you fit. **Parking Fee or Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Needed.

Important:

You and you alone are responsible for your own safety. Please know your abilities before signing up.
