About us

Welcome to the Puget Sound Horror Book Club based in Seattle! This is a club dedicated to books and genres generally not prioritized within other book clubs. We'll cover anything horror fiction, like gothic horror, psychological, crime thrillers, supernatural, body horror, occult; you name it, you decide it! No subgenre is off the tables. Events will take place in the Seattle area.

We'll also be open to subjects like nonfiction and sci-fi, but we want the members to chose the horror and horror adjacent books that appeal most to them!

We'll bring questions and have general guidelines each meetup, but we also want this to be a group dedicated to open discussion and free expression, so attendees and members are encouraged to bring their own notes and questions to promote further discussion. This is intended to be a laidback group for semi-structured conversation, but it's also for socializing and sharing insights regarding the horror book of the month and horror literature in general.

Come to connect with fellow horror fans, get recommendations for your next read, meet friends with similar interests, or just expand your literary explorations!

Welcome to the inaugural meeting of the Puget Sound Horror Book Club! This is my first time hosting and choosing this location, so apologies in advanced if it's not the smoothest!

The general timeline will be:
12:30p-12:45p: Meet other members and socialize as people arrive
12:45p-1:45p: Book Discussion
1:45p-2p: Book voting and updates for next meeting

It is my hope that going forward the group can vote on books they want to read for the next meeting, but for the first book I decided on Ghost Eaters by Clay McLeod Chapman.
