Skandia Folkdance Society's Virtual & Live Third Friday Nordic dance
Details
Skandia's Third Friday night dance in February will be both live AND virtual! The dance is held at the Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036. So, you can choose to attend in person or via Zoom as the dance instruction and music will be broadcast from the Grange. Singles welcome as well as couples.
Harry and Pat will teach Mazurka från Jämtland, a fun and different mazurka. This cute mazurka will test your ability to follow an asymmetric pattern in 7 bars of music; it does not follow the usual 8-bar musical phrase that we are used to.

Who can inspire you more than those lively Metrognomes. They are irresistible. Great tunes, great sound, great energy. Come dance with them. You may even see a gnome sneaking around.
7:30–10:30 pm., Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave W, Lynnwood, WA. $15; $10 for Skandia members. Info: www.skandia-folkdance.org.
**You may request the Zoom link by sending an email by no later than noon on Friday to events@skandia-folkdance.org.** Requesting the link gets your name on the admission list, required to join us.
Masks are now optional for all Skandia events. If you are feeling at all unwell or you know that you’ve been in proximity to someone who has COVID, please stay home and take care of yourself.
Note that First and Third Friday dances are paid events ($10 for members, $15 for non-members) although Skandia's policy is that first-timers can attend for free. For now, attending via Zoom continues to be free with donations accepted.
