Scandinavian Happenings at the Northwest Folklife Festival

Skandia musicians and dancers are invited to attend a Scandinavian Allspel and Dance on Saturday, May 23 from 4:30 - 5:30 pm in the Fisher Pavilion/Warren's Roadhouse. Skandia
musicians—on all instruments—are encouraged to participate in the acoustic Allspel. The more the better for a big sound! Dances will feature mixers, schottisches, waltzes, polkas, hambos, and possibly some simple polskor. The allspel tune list will be sent to the Skandia Musicians list and published on the Skandia website.

Don Meyers will teach the mixers and give a quick review of couple dances, encouraging lots of crowd participation. Skandia dancers, we need you there to keep up the energy! It will be an opportunity to showcase Skandia and involve the
public in the delight of Scandinavian dancing.
