March with Bi+ Community in the Seattle Pride Parade!

Details

Seattle Pan Bi Alliance invites you to march with us in the 2025 Seattle Pride Parade! Come help us represent all people with multi-gender attraction by joining the ONLY bi+ organization marching in Seattle Pride.

This year, more than ever, it's important that we show up so our voices can be heard and our identities seen. Visibility is one of the most important things we can do to help others know that they are not alone and they can be proud of who they are. Come be visible with us & be part of the change we create with pride!

WHERE? Meet at staging area on 4th Ave btwn Spring & Seneca, west (water) side closer to Seneca, near Hotel Monaco. We're just south of King County Metro contingent!

WHEN TO MEET? Our arrival window is between 11:15am-11:45am. You must arrive in this window as the Seattle Pride Parade officials might not allow marchers into the area before or after this time!

WHO IS WELCOME? People of EVERY gender & agender folks who fall under the Bi+ umbrella - either romantically or sexually attracted to more than one gender. This includes bi, pan, omni, polysexual, abrosexual, multisexual, homoflexible, heteroflexible, queer m-spec, fluid sexuality, or folks who prefer no label at all. You do not need to be part of a bi+ group or have attended any of our events. You may also march if you are affiliated with any other bi+ group in the PNW (BiNet Seattle*, SBWNN*, Bi Elders & Friends of Greater Seattle*, Bisexual Men's Meetup*, & any other bi+ groups*). We welcome marchers of every race, ethnicity, national origin, age, physical or mental ability, religion, financial means, educational background, or relationship status.

*While we welcome other organizations to march with our group, you may NOT have signs or banners promoting your group or any other organization whatsoever (per Seattle Pride Parade rules - "No piggybacking"!)

WHO ELSE IS WELCOME? People of ALL orientations & genders, or those without orientation/gender who are allies, friends, or partners of those in the bi/pan+ community.

WHO CAN RIDE IN THE CAR?
The seating in our vehicle is very limited and is first come, first serve. Priority will be be given to those with disabilities that might make it difficult to march. If you would like to sit in the vehicle, please contact SPBi Alliance organizers by June 26th, 2025.

WHAT TO WEAR?**
If you want to go with our contingent theme wear your most vibrant bi/pan/omni/polysexual/abro/etc. colors (examples of our colors below). Wigs, wings, sparkly sequins, and bi+ pride flags are encouraged. Please no full nudity.

We want you to participate regardless of whether you'll be adhering to our theme or not. Our parade group is open to everyone even those without costumes or signs! We want you to be there, so come as you are or dress up for fun!

WHAT TO CARRY: - We'll be carrying signs of protest this year to bring awareness to the dangers our community is facing. Get creative, get angry, get punny, make a statement! Examples are signs/posters related to Pride as a protest/call for human rights for LGBTQ+, signs that follow the theme of the parade or our contingent, bi+ themed/related, pride signs about your own individual identity. Also, pretty banners or ribbons are always fun. Feel free to decorate a WAGON or BICYCLE TRAILER if you wish.

WHAT NOT TO CARRY: No signs endorsing an organization other than Seattle Pan Bi Alliance (including other bi+ orgs), no corporate logos, no endorsements for specific political candidates.

WHAT TO BRING? Water, snacks (if needed), sunscreen, shoes you can comfortably walk in for 2-3 miles, & weather appropriate clothes.
Travel light! Expect to carry EVERYTHING you have on you the whole way, we cannot guarantee a place for your stuff in a car or somebody else's bag!

GETTING THERE: Taking public transportation (light rail station is near), getting dropped off, or walking is highly recommended. If you must drive, remember that parking downtown will likely be filled near the parade route, so you'll have to find a pay garage, lot, or street parking much farther away. 4th Avenue will be blocked off so there will be additional traffic downtown - plan ahead & try to arrive earlier than you normally would.

ADDITIONAL INFO FOR THE PARADE:
In the past we have waited anywhere from 1-3 hours from set-up to march, make sure you have items to keep you hydrated & fed if you think you'll need food during that time.

RESTROOMS: There are usually port-o-potties nearby. In past years the YMCA & Seattle Public Library have given access to restrooms & places to escape the heat, but there are no guarantees. Be aware that you may have to find a bathroom on your own somewhere downtown & lines may be long.

PETS: While pets are welcome, remember that animals out in the hot sun on asphalt is a bad combination. Protect their feet from the ground & bring extra water!
