Santa came early and brought a whole bunch of new housing capacity this year!

2025 was a banger year for housing, come grab a drink with us, celebrate the wins and plan for the year ahead 🍻

Join Seattle YIMBY and Future Wise for our last social of the year, we'll be writing some hand written thank letter to our council members noting the wins so far and encouraging them to do more in 2026.

It may not look like it yet but 2025 will be remembered as the year that the housing landscape in Seattle transformed. 75% of the city that was formerly closed off to most housing types has been opened up.

It's now possible to build townhomes, cottage clusters, duplexes, triplexes, quadplexes and even small apartment buildings through out Seattle neighborhoods.

Even with all the winning in 2025 we still have a ton of work to do.

We still have one more key vote on Dec 16th were city council will finally pass a big portion of Seattle's housing plan.

While all these housing types are possible to build many are not likely to be built for a variety of reasons that we need to address at City Council and in Olympia.

So come hang out with us and other Future Wise and CCC memebers and help us brainstorm and plan for a Katie Wilson administration and another transformative year for transit and housing!
