TED Countdown discussion: Urgency
Details
Countdown is a new global initiative from TED to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis. The Countdown talks from leading climate experts, activists, and change makers were live streamed back on October 10th, but the good news is that we can still watch and discuss each of the talks which are both inspiring and educational.
The Countdown talks ( https://www.ted.com/series/countdown )
are arranged into five topics: Urgency, Leadership, Transformation, Breakthroughs, and Action. We will take on each topic in turn in the coming weeks, starting with Urgency.
For this first virtual meeting (over zoom), on Sunday, November 29, we are asking participants to try and watch the full urgency session in advance of the meeting:

This full session includes all of the shorter urgency talks.
During the meetup, we will watch a subset of the shorter talks to inspire discussion and include plenty of time for discussion.
Once you RSVP, we will provide the zoom link.
The transcripts and key quotes from some of the talks are aggregated in a Basecamp project "TED Countdown". Also, some added content and discussion of these talks is available. Here's a link to join the TED Countdown Basecamp Project:
