Let's Bike Lake Chelan- Moderate to Advanced (Winery Camping)

Details
With some of the best roads for cycling in Washington, Chelan has become one of my favorite spots. With many scenic smooth routes and friendly roads passing through orchards and vineyards mostly along the lake shore.
It is a major destination for cyclists, and highly recommended by many Cascade Bike Club members.
Lake Chelan is one f the World's most spectacular glacial carved lakes with some of Washington State's most impressive scenery and bike friendly community.
The Plan:
-
Friday- Drive to Four Lakes Winery located in Manson just outside Chelan. Car camp and relax for the evening.
-
Saturday- saddle up and start the ride at 7am
-
Follow the route listed below, including the loop adjacent to Chelan Butte Wildlife Area.
-
Return the same way (minus the inverted triangle portion) staying on the road along the lake.
-
Relax at the winery and drive back to the Seattle area.
-
Optional- stay another night at Four Lakes and return Sunday.
You can meet us at the Park and Ride at 2pm Friday and ride/carpool as a group. Or, meet us at Four Lakes Winery. Please make sure to arrive at camp during the day. D not arrive after dark.
Please note- we intend to stop at all major intersections and turns. We will wait for the entire team at those intersections and major stopping points.
Regarding Camping/car camping:
We should have several spots for car camping and (optional) several spots for tent camping.
The camping area just south of the Winery tasting room includes a toilet, a hose with running water, and a couple of fire pits.
It is a primitive campground.
What to bring:
Bike, rack, camping gear if you intend to camp, stoves if you would like to cook, food and water for the day, headlamp, sleeping items, and bike clothing/gear.
Four Lakes winery is located on a hill overlooking four lakes with beautiful views and an gorgeous setting. It is a family owned Winery with a beautiful tasting room and an impressive selection of great wines.
The four lakes visible from the winery are; Chelan, Wapato, Roses, and Dry Lakes.
