Norse Peak [Hard-ish]

A steep(ish), yet surprisingly comfortable climb to views of Mount Adams, Mount Rainier, Mount Hood, Glacier Peak and the Olympics on a clear, cool day!

Bring some extra water and sun gear for this one, as it's pretty exposed.

## Logistics

Please commit to your RSVP, as space is limited. If you can't make it, please change your RSVP ASAP.

Everyone will go to the waitlist by default, and I will add riders as drivers become available. It is your responsibility to check your waitlist status, and to remove yourself from the waitlist if you can no longer attend. The total cap is 12 people. Please answer all RSVP questions so I can get accurate headcounts for each location.

• Drivers, please comment that you are driving and how many you can take, as well as your meeting point (Green Lake P&R or a sensible East Side P&R)
• Riders, please reply to these comments if you'd like to join a driver.
• Eastsiders are free to self-organize a carpool and meet us at the coffee shop
• Please avoid going directly to the TH, as this can often lead to us missing each other

Gas will be $20 per person for a car of 4. Be sure to pay your drivers ASAP before or during the trip!

## What to bring

• Appropriate footwear
• Spare socks
• An extra layer for cooler temps at the top
• Trekking Poles recommended
• Plenty of water - at least 2L
• Sunscreen and any sun protection you'd like to bring -- there will be a lot of sun exposure on the route
• Plenty of food and snacks - I generally bring several granola and protein bars (one for every ~2mi), plus lunch
• Any other 10 Essentials you think are appropriate. I'll have first aid, a knife, and several copies of the route.

## Itinerary

7:00: Meet at Green Lake Park & Ride (North Lot) and organize into cars. Eastsiders can self-organize if desired.
7:15: Leave for **The Local Coffee House **in Enumclaw
8:00ish: Arrive at coffee shop for coffee/breakfast/bathroom break
9ish: Arrive at Norse Peak Trailhead
9:15 - 3:00ish: Hike, grab lunch, and return
5:30 - 6:00ish: arrive back at the Park & Ride
