SOA Outdoor Climbing (Exit 38)

Details

I need to leave early this week, but people are welcome to stay later

Please answer the question to indicate your experience level so I know what I'm working with. If I have not climbed with you before (or if I don't remember it, sorry) I or someone I designate will be observing your first belay to ensure safe habits. This is mandatory for all climbers.

We will meet at the park and ride at 7 am and head out to hopefully beat the crowds. We will climb until we are tired; people can leave whenever their car is finished.

You will need:

  • Helmet (mandatory for climbers AND belayers. If you don't have a helmet, you may be able to borrow one, but anytime you are close to the wall you should be wearing a helmet).
  • Harness
  • Belay device and locking carabiner (Assisted devices are great but not required. I will have a couple of extras so let me know if you don't have one).
  • 10 essentials
  • Water, snacks, and lunches.

I will have my own rope and material, but we will need additional ropes and anchor material. Let me know if you can bring:

  • Rope (ideally 60m single and dry treated)
  • Anchor materials (4 locking carabiner and either a cordalette or a pair of double length slings)
