Double-Double Mercer/S. Lake Washington Loops

A special "double double" for Labor Day! (Sorry, no actual In-n-Out will be consumed on or after this ride!)
For this route, I'm going to do the traditional "Double SMILE" route (Mercer Island + lower Lake Washington loops) but do it TWICE. Total distance of 66 miles with about 2600 feet of elevation gain, but you're welcome to do only the first half of the ride if you want a shorter option. Meet at 8:30am, wheels rolling by 8:40am. I'm capping attendance at 15 as I don't feel comfortable leading a bigger ride on the open roads there.

Pace and regrouping: This will be a drop ride. Expect about 15mph average, closer to 17mph on the flat parts. I will have 1 or 2 regroup spots on the first loop, but the second loop with be a straight shot.
Equipment and Safety: Helmets are required to ride. A good headlight and taillight are recommended. Rain (however unlikely) will cancel this ride. Bring your own nutrition you expect to need during the ride. Riders should be able to sustain the appropriate pace, know how to read a cue sheet, change a flat tire (and have the requisite equipment to do so) and have a positive attitude. Ride Leaders and Sweeps will not stop long for flats or mechanical issues due to group safety.
In order to participate in any Seattle Triathlon Group event, you must sign our waiver. Waivers only need to be signed once per year or if your contact info has changed.
