Join us for a Saturday morning preview of Lake Wilderness Triathlon - Sprint and Olympic distances. This is a race practice, so bring everything you would bring for a race. This includes nutrition/hydration, and bike repair supplies and tools.
NOTE: this event is capped 35 people, volunteers included. You must RSVP to participate. NO day-of Drop Ins. Priority will be given to paid members.
Both distances will do a 400 meter swim. Then we will break up into two bike groups, and preview the bike courses at whatever pace the group can comfortably maintain. Ideally 14-16 mph, but these are no drop rides, so we will regroup at turns and hills.
After the bike ride, we will preview the 5k (sprint) run course at a pace that is comfortable to the slowest runner. Faster runners can go off the front if they want, but need to be familiar with the course turns themselves.
Plan to arrive early enough to check in, and get gear/transition set up BEFORE we begin. ****It is very important that we have everyone participating sign a waiver online or a hard copy which will be available at the event.**** (more about waivers below)
Even though we will have leaders on the bike and run courses, we ask that you look at the course maps provided on the Lake Wilderness Triathlon website yourself as well so that you are familiar with the terrain and elevation.
Event Schedule:
Transition opens 7:15
Pre event briefing 7:45
(please have transition set up, waiver signed, and be ready to swim at this time)
Swim start 8:00
Bike start approx 8:30
