Being by the beach has its perks, but miles and miles of sand can do nothing like a good ole climb up a steep incline...

🌄 Join us for a little day trip into the mountains of North Carolina to enjoy the sites and smells of trees in the forest. We'll head to the Raven Rock State Park and plan to hike the Raven Rock Loop Trail (2.6 miles). We'll have the option to extend our hike by walking the Little Creek Loop Trail (1.5 miles), which we'll decide while we're there. According to the website, seems like they're both easy trails but you know your body best. Should take us about 2-3 hours. We can grab a late lunch at the Riverside Restaurant & Bar to refuel before driving back home.
⚠️ Please plan accordingly - pack your snacks, water, electrolytes, etc... especially since we'll be hiking through mid-day. Meet us at the Visitor Center at precisely 11 am, and/or coordinate a carpool in the comments below. It's a 2-3 hour drive depending on where you're coming from.
🐶 Dogs on leash are allowed on the trails. I plan on bringing my pup so I ask that yours is dog-friendly and well-trained if you decide to bring them too.
