Boomer Lesbians in Park Slope Women Meetup Group

This documentary is about the personal and profound odyssey of basketball star Brittany Griner from her playing career to her harrowing imprisonment in Russia through the extraordinary geopolitical battle to secure her freedom.

This event is free, and sponsored by the Gay Film Festival.
It is an outdoor event. We will meet in front of Catch Restaurant on the corner of 13th Street and 9th Avenue at 7:50 pm and move to Gansevoort Plaza promptly at 8:00 pm.

Coming together to make our banner for the Dyke March.

This is an afternoon event giving our group the opportunity to work as a team to create our empowering message about Elder Lesbians still active in politics. WE STARTED IT ALL!

We will meet at: The Park Slope Center For Successful Aging
Located at: 463A 7th Street in Brooklyn (just off of 7th Avenue, entrance is on the side of the All Saints Episcopal Church)

All materials will be provided. It will be a relaxing atmosphere to get to know one another better. And, for those who wish, we can go for coffee afterwards.

ANNUAL DYKE MARCH 2026

This year, the Boomer Lesbians of Park Slope will team up with several other elder lesbian groups to march together down Fifth Avenue starting at Bryant Park.

The March kicks off at 5 PM on Saturday, June 27th, but we will gather at 4 PM in front of the Whole Foods market located on sixth Avenue between West 41st and W. 42nd St. This will give us the chance to be part of the festivities that precede the actual kickoff of the March. The march ends at Washington Square, Park.

There is also access to restrooms in the Whole Foods market as well.

For those who register for this event, there will be a separate event where we make the banner that we will carry as we go down Fifth Avenue.
