Let’s go to the zoo! And late September is a good month to do so for the weather isn’t so hot, kids are back in school, most tourists are gone,etc. so it won’t be so crowded ~ hopefully!
The Greenville Zoo is located on 14 acres. The total walking distance is exactly one mile of a paved loop that gives you the opportunity to see every animal exhibit.
There are plenty of mature trees that provide shade and multiple benches to sit. And if you need a snack there is a concession stand. And, of course, restrooms.
COST: Adults ~ $15
Seniors (65+) $12
Tickets may be bought in advance online on their website. You may also just buy your ticket at the ticket booth when you arrive at the zoo.

EATING AFTER OUR ZOO TRIP: For those who would like to we will be going to the Fork & Plough Restaurant to eat. It’s only 1.8 miles from the zoo. A 6-minute drive. Please sign up on the separate Meetup event if you wish to go. I need a headcount for reservations. Thanks!
