Newsletter March 2018: new events & discounts

From: Manon
Sent on: Saturday, March 17, 2018 7:30 PM

Hi all,

While winter blows a last cutting wind through Amsterdam, we're warmed by the way our community is growing and working on relevant projects like waterquality!

Our next meetup is hosted at the famous venue Pakhuis de Zwijger where we will discuss Trust Frameworks and their role in safeguarding a secure and privacy-friendly sharing of devices/objects and there data.
That same evening Jan-Willem Smeenk from Sodaq will present an analysis of power consumption and comparison between LoRa and NB-IoT. We're very happy to announce that Sodaq will be sponsoring some beautiful notebooks from Revolve-uk, so that from April on we have a worthy gift for our speakers!

PS.1:  For the cold wintery evening a reading tip from Alex (@iotwatch, @IoTLondon):
The Little Book of Design Fiction for the internet of things by partners of the PETRAS project is free to download online.

P.S.2:  Last days for SODAQ's kickstarter
SODAQ has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a fantastic range of new NB-IoT and LTE-M development boards. It seems however that the Kickstarter platform has lost its popularity and as a result our campaign isn't moving quite as fast as we hoped for.
You can back them by ordering one of our new boards here
As a token of appreciation they will give all the sensemakers backers a 20% discount voucher for the SODAQ webshop!
